Tanners Orchard
Saturday we attempted to take the kids over to Tanners for the afternoon-we weren't there 5 minutes and the rain set in! We were so upset-my mom, dad, Matt, Rachel and Kane had all been looking forward to taking the kids to pick out pumpkins, ride the horses, go thru the corn maze but the weather wouldn't cooperate:(
Ashlyn got to ride the real horses too but mommy didn't get a picture cause I was busy buying stuff in the bakery!!
Kids are busy checking out the Lama's
Ashlyn was super excited to pick out the perfect pumpkin.
So many to choose from!
36 week update
I had my 36 week checkup and sono today-Ashlyn and Ryan joined me. Ashlyn wasn't all that excited-I think she was confused more than anything trying to figure out what the lady was doing to mommy. Everything looks great he measured 6.6lbs, head down, and heart rate in the upper 130's. Oh and I'm dilated 1cm-with Ashlyn I never dilated so I figure this is a good sign and I have been feeling all along he will arrive about a week before his due date so I guess we will see if mommy is right:) I'm still feeling great just not sleeping the greatest-oh well just preparing for whats to come. Can't believe in a few short weeks we are going to meet our little guy-we are sooo excited!!!
Ashlyn is 26 months today and I think its safe to say she is potty trained-she no longer wears a pull-up at nap time just at night and usually the only accident is pooping. Couldn't be more proud of her!!! I think she is going to make a great big sister and little helper-I can't wait to see her reaction once he is here. Love this little girl to pieces:)

Fun Family Weekend in St. Louis
We decided to take one last trip with Ashlyn before baby boy comes so we headed to St. Louis labor day weekend. The weather was AWESOME! Saturday we went to the City Museum which is totally cool but I think Ashlyn needed to be a little older to really enjoy it.

Saturday night we did some shopping at Chesterfield mall which was right next to our hotel and ate at my FAVORITE PLACE-Cheesecake Factory-I could have skipped the meal and just ate dessert:) Of course we did some swimming too but Ashlyn just wanted to be in the hot tub with the bubbles.

Sunday morning we got up and headed to the zoo early-weather couldn't have been more perfect! Ashlyn was in AWW over all the animals and couldn't stop talking about all the poop. She is so funny! Her vocabulary grows everyday and her new favorite animals are HIPPO's, Horsey's, of course Ebra's (zebra), fish, and monkeys, and EWWWW snakes (which is exactly how she says it). She did so good all weekend with going potty too-its such a fun experience going in public bathrooms-YUCK! I was going crazy with her touching everything-so nasty.

One last dip in the pool!
Well this little pool has got a lot of use out of it this summer-Sunday we decided to fill it up one last time and Ashlyn had a ball with both slides! She must have went down that red slide head first 100 times-she isn't scared of nothing!!
Ryan's Birthday Weekend
Last Saturday was Ryan's 36th Birthday-I asked him what he wanted to do and of course he said its just another day to him. So we thought it might be fun to have his folks bring Ty and Mya down and spend the night friday night and then Saturday go to Splash Down Water Park. Well Ryan checked the website and showed they were open until Sept 6th so we were all very excited. Saturday morning I went out to the website to double check what time they opened and wouldn't you know they updated the website and showed they were now CLOSED for the season. We were so bummed. I think the adults were more sad than the kids:(
So here is what we did instead-girls vs. boys in putt putt match! GIRLS won of course w/out cheating!!

Let the potty training fun begin!
Fast forward to this weekend-yesterday morning after she got up and had breakfast she said she had to go poopie so I said lets go sit on the potty but she insisted on bringing her potty to the living room-well whatever if thats what you want to do go for it. So she grabbed her potty sat for a few minutes and sure enough she went. She was SOOOO excited. She must have said, "Mommy I go Poopie" a thousand times!! I decided to put her in big girl panties until it was time to go run errands and asked her every 15 minutes if she had to go potty and sometimes she would say YES and go sit and do nothing but she never had an accident. Today was a great day of potty training-we were home all day so that helped. She is all about going poopie on the potty but only went pee once-leave it to my child to be backwards:) I'm just loving the fact that she is SUPER EXCITED about it and we couldn't be more proud of her!!

Eventful Morning!!
So as I'm getting ready this morning Ashlyn is watching cartoons and I hear her pretend talking on our bedroom phone to Paw Paw and E-Ma-I can hear the busy signal loud and clear in the background so I don't think much of it. Well about 10 minutes later maybe less I hear HEAVY pounding on the front door. I'm thinking to myself who the heck is BEATING on my door this early in the morning-open the door and there are 2 policeman standing there not smiling. My heart drops thinking the worse and he asks if everything is ok, they received a 911 call from this residence. OMG!!! Are you kidding me, I tell them everything is fine my daughter was playing with our bedroom phone and must have accidentally dialed 911. They are not amused, they proceed to ask if we are the only 2 in the house, yes we are the only 2 I tell them and we are both fine. Then Ashlyn is standing next to me with her Little Nemo Ice Pack and proceeds to show and tell them about the boo-boo she has on her head-OMG, seriously just go ahead and send DCFS out now:) She had fell last night and got a boo boo on her head and that is all she has been talking about so I just brushed it off and said Yes you have a Boo Boo but your fine. At this point they are just staring at me and I of course am mortified. The good news is I didn't recognize them from the last call to our home but I'm thinking soon the entire Police Dept is going to recognize our address!!!

We might have a little problem
I was in the baby's room the other night putting a few things away and Ashlyn went and got her baby and put it in the bassinet. It was so cute so I went and grabbed my camera real quick to catch a video. Here is what happened! Little stinker-we might have a problem if she does this when baby brother is in it!!
