UGGG SNOW!!!

After the snow FINALLY stopped Sunday afternoon I took Ashlyn outside to play. She isn't real crazy about it. . .Ryan took her out Saturday and she fell in the snow and hated that! Zelma on the other hand loves to be in the snow!!

Christmas Day!

Christmas morning we headed to my parents house for brunch and to open presents with the kids. Ashlyn liked playing with Kane's Cat. Truck and Kane liked to play with her doll house . . .so much fun this year with the kids. Later in the day we headed to Fairbury for Christmas on my mom's side!

I really wanted a good family picture with my aunts gorgeous Christmas Tree. Ashlyn wasn't having it-I think mommy had taken enough pictures for the day! We had such a wonderful and blessed Christmas this year!! I still find it hard to believe that 2009 is almost over. Our little girl is growing up WAY to fast.

We haven't got to celebrate with Ryan's side yet. . .we were suppose to yesterday but we got snowed in. Very disappointed!!!

Christmas Eve

She did such a good job opening her presents all by herself!

It was a little bittersweet, it was nice not having to pack up the entire house and we enjoyed opening presents with Ashlyn Christmas Eve but a little weird not spending Christmas eve at my parents house and waking up Christmas morning with them. I wish I would have gotten more pictures of Ashlyn opening her presents b/c I was helping her and Ryan was running the video camera but here are a few!! She LOVES her tunnel, especially if we turn all the lights out and she has the flashlight on.
Ashlyn and Daddy surprised me with this!!! It is absolutely gorgeous-I was TOTALLY SHOCKED.

Changing Diapers

Ashlyn's new thing to do is if we ask her if she needs her diaper changed she will go to her room, pull off the changing pad, grab some diapers and pretend she is changing her diaper. So Funny!! Here is Zelma finding a soft spot to lay. . .poor Z she has had a ruff couple of months with the terror constantly chasing her.

Aupperle Family Christmas

Christmas is going to be much more exciting this year. . .she loves opening her presents!!

Ashlyn tried really hard to get into the walker and this is how she ended up! She thought it was so fun to be pushed around the garage like this. She is one funny little girl:)

Saturday we celebrated Christmas with the Aupperle's!! We had some great family bonding time playing ROCK BAND!! OMG-we have some serious talent in our family:) Well if nothing more we had a lot of laughs and memorable moments. Ashlyn had fun dancing!

Love to know what she is trying to tell me!!

Ashlyn has really started to express herself verbally:) We just wish we could understand what it is she is telling us, or maybe not-we may not want to know!!!!

Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree!

The only picture I have of Ashlyn with the tree. She is such a stubborn little pistol. I didn't put as many ornaments on the tree this year thinking she would constantly be messing with them but telling her that the tree is HOT did the trick:)

Santa

Saturday Santa came to my work to visit all the kids. Ashlyn was so cute with all the kids-she would go up to each of them and say "HI" and try and give them a kiss. Santa also came bearing gifts for each little one-Ashlyn got a little baby that talks. She loves it. She didn't have much interest in Santa-she just stared at him-I guess it could have been worse she could have screamed! Of course I brought my camera to take lots of pics but turned it on and wouldn't you know the battery was dead. Oh well at least we got a picture with Santa!!

Yes my daughter is drinking out of an EMPTY beer can-my family thought it was pretty cute. . .I guess there are pics of me when I was this age drinking out of -what I hope to be empty beer cans but I'm pretty sure back in the day my family didn't care if they were full or empty:)

I still can't believe that Thanksgiving is over and X'mas is 3 weeks away. . .where has the year went.

I also can't believe our darling little girl is now 16 months old! The days and months are just flying by it seems and she is changing oh so much. She is quite the talker, loves to say Ouch, Hot, Elma (zelma), dog, ught oh, mama, bye bye dada, No No, and many other gibberish words. She also knows where her eyes, nose, ears, mouth and tummy are. If you ask her if she went Poo Poo she will pull on her pants-so funny! She also loves to play hide and seek with us and for anyone to chase her. I'm really surprised that she is doing so well with the Christmas tree, well maybe thats because I told her its HOT so she walks up to it, looks at it and says HOT. Haven't put presents under the tree yet but the sitter tells me Monday she unwrapped one of hers. She is a very devious, out going, smart, crafty little girl whom we love so much!!
