Totally melts my heart when my 2 babies are having some snuggle time. Ashlyn still has her moments with him and now that he is mobile she is starting to boss him around more and more especially when he is in her room playing with her toys. The other night she YELLED for me to come get him out of her room and once I did she shut her door and told him to stay in his own room. I know that she loves him to pieces and all of her babies which of course are all girls she has named BRODY ALAN.

A day at the Peoria Zoo

Saturday my parents, Matt, Rachel and Kane all thought it would be a good day to head over to Peoria Zoo. We have been a couple times but they haven't and thought Kane might like the Rhino's and Giraffe's that Bloomington doesn't. It wasn't long after we got there that it started to sprinkle-go figure!! So we had to rush through the outdoor stuff before it started to poor.

Usually Ashlyn would be right up there trying to pet/kiss/feed the goats but she was a little stand offish this time. Kane jumped right up there to pet and feed them. She was sure to tell us over and over that its smelled like "poop!"

Since we got rained out at the zoo we headed over to Monkey Joe's for a little jump time. We were thinking about having Ashlyn's 3rd bday party there but after Kane didn't really care to much for it we decided some of the younger kids may not enjoy it so there is always next year.

8 Months

Another month has passed and our little guy has had a few milestones this past month. He is still army crawling all over and so close to crawling on all 4's but for now I think he is just content with pulling himself across the room-and boy is he quick. He is also pulling himself up on everything and when he can't quite get it his little temper comes out:) The other morning it was almost 7 and I couldn't believe he wasn't up yet so I went in to check on him and I found him standing in his crib with the BIGGEST CHEESY GRIN on his face-I screamed for Ryan and grabbed my camera-I'm so not ready to move his crib down:( Makes me so sad that he is growing up so fast!!! His bottom tooth has popped thru and the other one is right there but you wouldn't know it b/c he is still just as happy as can be. He must be going thru a growth spurt too he eats 3 meals a day and takes 4-5 7 oz bottles but I'm not sure where he puts it all b/c he shy of weighing 18lbs. His new favorite foods are banana & strawberry yogurts, puffs and freezer pops thanks to his big sister who loves to share with him-its so cute! He enjoys watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with his sister and discovered the fridge magnets are pretty fun too. He is still in size 3 diapers and wearing 9-12 month clothes.

Happy Fathers Day

Well we tried to get a fun picture with Daddy but Brody wasn't in the mood!!

You can't tell in the picture but Asher is bare BUTT in this picture and he thought he was just the funniest little guy ever. It was soo sticken funny to watch him run around the house cracking up at himself. Wish I would have taken more pictures of the day but it was busy.

It was a wonderful Father's Day-the kids went to church with Ryan's parents and we golfed in I think our 26th Parent Child Golf Outing. I can't wait til our kids are old enough to play with us. The only person missing was my Grandpa Denny who LOVED to be out on the course with his grand kids. Miss him so much and makes me so sad that he isn't here to see his BEAUTIFUL Great Grand babies grow up-he would be sooo proud.

Tremont Turkey Festival

Sunday afternoon we headed over to the Turkey Festival-Ashlyn couldn't have been more excited about riding rides and getting candy at the parade!! Most of the "kiddie" rides she could ride by herself but a couple she had to ride with a friend-sometimes I wish my child was not such a THRILL SEAKER!!

On the car ride home she talked non stop about the rides and all the candy she got in her purse. Monday on our way to daycare she was asking me if we could go ride some rides after I picked her up from school. She was so disappointed when I told her NO that the Turkey Festival was over until next year. Nothing better than creating new memories. My kiddos are growing up wayyyyy to fast!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday I was in the laundry room and had left Brody sitting at his piano and came back to see that he had pulled himself up and was standing at the piano. I quickly grab my camera to snap a couple pictures:) Once he figured out that he was standing and didn't know what to do next he started crying hysterically. We are in trouble-he is all over the place and daycare tells me everyday how mobile he is and advanced he is for his age. LORD HELP US ALL-I was hoping he would maybe be sitting up at age 1:)
