Memorial Weekend-Saturday

We had a wonderful memorial weekend spending lots of time with our families.  Saturday we had Ryan's family over for a cookout!!  Ryan sister and niece were in town from Georgia which was a nice surprise-it was their 1st time meeting Brody and Aubrey.

Ashlyn really wanted to play with the water balloons but since the weather wasn't that greatest this was the next best option.  Look at Brody watching his big sister-he was army crawling all over the house chasing the little balloons.

But the best was Jason hiding in the dog house-check Ty whipping Jason's butt and telling him he was under arrest:)  I haven't laughed that hard in a LONG TIME!!!

We finally had all the grandkids together for a picture!!

Ryan and I tried to talk Bri into staying with us for the summer and being our full-time sitter-Ashlyn loves Bri so much and was so sad when she had to leave us on Sunday.

The 2 little ones-they have grown so much since the last time we had them together.  Won't be long and they will be chasing each other around.

7 Month Update

Hard to believe our little guy is 7 months old already!!  He is such a HAPPY-CONTENT lil boy and they don't make em much cuter if you ask Mommy & Daddy.  He has started army crawling all over the place which makes mommy really sad-I was really hoping he would be a late developer-I'm so not ready for him to be mobile!!  He is really starting to enjoy all the different foods we have been giving him-except for peas-he HATES them and I can't say I blame him.  He loves Patty Cake and So Big every once in a while he will wave Bye Bye.  His sister loves to get ALL his toys out of his toy box and play in his room with him-they are starting to become pretty good playmates.  He is weighing in right at 17lbs and still wears a few 6-9 months but mostly in 9 month clothes. 

New swingset

Well after much debating in our house we decided to get a swingset.  We shopped around quite a bit last year and found this one at Lowes-Ryan insisted that he wasn't putting it together no matter how much the installation cost.  I was online one evening and saw an installation special for $99 bucks-SOLD!!!!  That wasn't the end of my savings though-we had to order the swingset and it took about 3 weeks to come in and during that time it went on sale $230 bucks less than what we bought it for so you know I called the local Lowes store asking if I could get it for that price and guess what they said OK-I was pretty proud of my BIG SAVINGS!!! 

As you can see the swingset is a HIT-Ashlyn loves to sit up in the little fort area and take snacks, books, toys, ect and just sit and play with her imaginary friends.  I just pray we don't have any broken bones cause as you have heard my child has NO FEAR!!

We have been loving this weather and enjoying a lot of time outside.

6 Month Update-A little late!

Up until now I have been doing a pretty good job posting monthly updates but I have fallen behind this month and just now getting to it.  Oh well better late than never:)  Last weekend we headed over to Bloomington to have Laura take some new shots of the kiddos.  I'm having a hard time deciding which ones to order but this one and #18 are my fav's and Ryan loves him in the wheel barrel.  Didn't really get any great ones of the 2 together but its hard-Ashlyn is busy!  There is always next time!!

He has changed so much in the last month-he is sitting up and let me tell you he thinks he is BIG STUFF. 

Loves sitting in this seat so he can play with his sissy and all his toys. 

He talks all the time and Daddy insists he is saying DaDa. He continues to be such a great baby, nothing can upset this little guy -well accept when his big sister constantly picks on him.  For the most part he just finds her very entertaining and laughs hysterically at her when she is talking to him and bouncing him in his jumparoo.  He is eating all the different stage one foods but HATES peas-he clinches his mouth shut and there is no way he wants even one bite of those nasty peas-can't say I blame him.  I stopped breastfeeding last week-sniff sniff:(  He is finishing up the frozen supply I had at Daycare but doesn't mind formula, which made transitioning much easier.  In the mornings he likes to watch Mickey Mouse club house with sister and she usually read him a book or 2.  He has also started to waive bye bye and we are trying to teach him patty cake.  I can't believe my baby is 1/2 year old already and I have a feeling it won't be long and he will be mobile.   

This weekend I'm leaving both kids behind with daddy for an all girl trip to VEGAS to celebrate my cousin Taylor's 21st!!  I'm going to miss my family so much but it is a MUCH needed mini vacation for this momma!! 

Brody's Baptism

Sunday we had Brody's Baptism at the Church we got married in and also where Ashlyn was Baptized!! It was a very special day for our family. We choose Jason and Brooke to be Brody's godparents. Look at that handsome little guy-he was a perfect angel!!
