Meeting Adler & a swim in Aunt Lori's

Saturday we headed up to Fairbury so we could meet Adler Weber Popejoy-he is so sweet and looks identical to his big bro Asher!!  He is a lil chunk weighing in at almost 9lbs at birth-check out those cheeks:)

Time to hit up the hot tub!!  Brody thought he was hot stuff b/c he could jump in and touch the bottom.  Fun day to start off Memorial Weekend 2012!

 

Ella is 6 months old

Look how BIG Ella is at 6 months!!  I'm not quite sure what she weighs but I'm guessing over 60lbs and I have a feeling that she is probably going to be about 120lbs when she is full grown-YIKES that adds to my grocery bill.  She gets to spend A LOT of time outside and in her kennel b/c she is still a puppy and likes to jump on the kids and thinks they always want to play with her.  She reminds us so much of our old Zelma especially when I look at her in this picture.

I have done such a TERRIBLE job at updating my blog lately!!  Work has been crazy busy for months and when I get home the last thing I want to do is get back on the computer.

On April 22nd Brody turned 18 months!!  It really is hard to believe that 18 months have passed since I gave birth to this adorable little man.  He is mostly a mommy's boy (which I love) and still loves his snuggle time before bed.  He is quite the talker-which took us by surprise-we totally thought he wouldn't talk until his was 5 b/c big sister does ALL the talking:)  He is really into his tools-fixing all sorts of things around the house and loves to read his truck and animal books OVER and OVER again.  Unlike his sister he has no problem entertaining himself and I think sometimes he prefers to be off doing his own thing.  I love to sneak up and watch him playing and talking to himself-melts my heart!!

18 month stats

20.2lbs -not even on the charts:(

At his check-up I talked to Dr. Hunter about his results with all the labs and procedures he has had done over the past 5 months and she feels at this point since everything has came back normal that there really isn't much more testing to do at this point.  We still have him on a cap full of miralax a day and he LOVES his high calorie boost and pediasure so he has at least 2 of those a day.  When Brody is in the "mood" to eat he is a little piggy.  Loves hotdogs, apples, cottage cheese, string cheese, green beans, FF's, cheese balls, M & M's, grapes, and chix nuggets.  We wish he liked milk shakes, ice cream, cookies, and cake more b/c the Dr said he can have pretty much as much as he wants but most days he is completely uninterested-can't be my kid:) 

He loves his sissy dearly and Ashlyn tells him all the time "Brody your my best friend!"  I love that they enjoy spending time together and there is nothing better than watching them growing up -I just wish it didn't have to happen so fast!

Fun in the Sun!!

FINALLY-warm weather is here to stay!!  Ashlyn has been asking almost everyday since March if its time to get the pool out and I could finally tell her YES we can get the pool out:)  I love that both of our kids are little fish and so excited that the weather is finally nice so we can enjoy family time outside.

Brody LOVES to read and he certainly has his favorites that he will read over and over.  It is just to cute to watch and listen to him.  If he is reading anything with Elmo or Animals he gives them kisses and hugs.  Oh and did I mention he is such a little show off-hum wonder where he gets that from!
