A visit from the Popejoy Family

Saturday we got a visit from the Popejoy Family it had been a while since we had some visitors for the weekend so Ashlyn was super excited!  Tess wanted to get some stuff for baby brudder-kind of made me sad getting out the lil baby stuff since there will be no more babies for us:(
Kids having a snack before heading out for some YUMMY mexican food!!
Brody enjoyed the gummy worms

The men sat around playing on their I-pads all afternoon
We went to Hobby Lobby earlier in the day so I could pick out some fabric for Tess to make me a purse and I told the kids to pick out an art project-I think Tess thought I was crazy letting them pick out paint AND glitter glue!!
I think Tess & I might have enjoyed painting more than the kids:)

Ashlyn and Asher wanted to have a sleep-over on the pull-out couch but I think he got a little scared and slept with mommy & daddy instead.

Giddy up continued...

Sunday we were downstairs watching football and Brody & Ashlyn were having fun riding the horse!  This was actually Ashlyn's xmas present last year from Santa but the only time she cares to get on it is when Brody is on it-typical:)  He is a little dare-devil just like his sister he will get on it and ride it one handed or stand up and bounce, makes me nervous watching him.  He just thinks he is hot stuff!!

Daddy thought it was pretty funny to let Brody carry around his empty beer bottle-he said he worked up a thirst all that riding :-)

Giddy Up

Brody loves to Giddy-up on the horsey!!

15 month update and EGD procedure

I still have a hard time saying my baby boy is now 15 MONTHS!  I know ever parent says and thinks the same with their children but it really does make me sad to think he is growing so fast.  As you can see from the picture he has lots of sharp teeth in there-12 to be exact and he got his 1st haircut-just a trim around the ears and the back-he just woke up from a nap so his hair is a little crazy.  He has really started talking more this month and his new favorite word is ELLA-he says it so perfect, he also says bye bye, thank you, done, ught oh, and we are working on sissy.  He is such a happy little guy-he loves to snuggle, give hugs and lots of kisses.  He moved up to the toddler room at daycare last week and he is adjusting very well to sleeping on a cot at naptime and sitting at the table for lunch and snack-time.  The past couple of weeks I have noticed he gets very upset when his toys don't co-operate or sissy trys to take his toys-Ryan and I find it pretty funny when he gets upset -can you say paybacks are HELL :)
As for his diet he is a good little eater it just doesn't show b/c he is still 19lbs (he has been since November).  We did eliminate dairy completely for a while and he is still on Soy Milk but we don't think dairy is the problem. We had an appt last week with Dr. Yaseen-Peds GI Dr. at Childrens Hospital and I can't say I was overerly excited after the appt with him.  Brody was sick that day and SUPER fussy so that didn't help but it was the typical Dr. appt. comes in looks at his chart, reviews the lab work results, asks a few questions, looks at him and then says I think we should schedule an Upper GI Scope w/Biopsy.  HELLO-BIOPSY-WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!!?!?  Sorry but that word to me just has Cancer written all over it so I immediately freak out.  Dr. then explained it further that they will take small pieces from his stomach and small intestine to check for Celiac Disease (Gluten), Lactose, and bacteria overgrowth.  They have NO concern with cancer b/c all his blood work came back normal.  WHEW!!  He does show symptoms of Celiac and Lactose and Dr. said this will reveal if he has either or both.  His procedure went really well and Brody did AMAZING.  Dr. said that everything looked great and nothing alarming-there was no signs of inflamation in stomach area or intestine so now we just wait for Biopsy results.  Our follow-up appt is next Thursday the 2nd so I will post results next week!!
Look how cute he is in his lil gown

All ready to be wheeled back to "OR"

Welcome Home Ella May

We finally got to bring our new baby home Saturday!!
Ella got to play in the snow before we headed back home (we were up by Lasalle where they got a lot more snow)
We had to stop by Paw Paw and Emaw's house so they could meet her.
Poor Ella!
Matt, Rachel and Kane stopped by too-all the kids thought it was fun to play in Ella's Kennel.
Look at that sweet face!
Ashlyn has been so good about taking her out potty-she doesn't want us to help she wants to do it all by herself she tells us.  She even got up Sunday morning at 5:30 with Ryan and feed her and took her potty.  HUM I wonder how long this will last:)
This is just precious!
Sit Ella-good dog:)

She wanted Ella to get on the sled and go for a ride but Ella wasn't so sure:)
Brody loves when she sits still so he can hug her and kiss her.
Sorry for all the pictures-she is just too cute!
She is so in love with her new puppy.  She was laying next to her telling her its ok-I know you miss your mommy:)

Brody teaching Ella how to sit.
So I guess my husband was right it was time for us to get another dog-she is such a great addition!

Aubrey Turns 1

Hard to believe that Aubrey is one already!!  She is such a little cutie pie and such a sweet personality just like her big sister.  In 3 short months they are going to add a little boy to the mix-we can't wait to meet him.
HOLY COW THAT'S A LOT OF KIDS!!!
Brody was a little overwhelmed when we got there (he is our shy guy) but he was excited to see his best bud TY.
Ashlyn likes Aubrey new princess trike.

Paw Paw and his littlest grand babies.
Brooke did a great job on her smash cake and Aubrey loved it!
Is she not the cutest?!?!?
Brody thought he would take her for a spin.

Fun in the Snow

Ashlyn was so excited to see that it FINALLY snowed. She couldn't wait for daddy to take her on the sled.  Brody and I watched from the window and I wish I would have changed my lens but by the time they both got all bundled up it was almost dark out.  The first couple of times around the yard Ryan went slow but then Ashlyn insisted he go a little faster and he flipped her right off the back and that was the end of that she got snow on her face and was ready to come in.  Way to go Daddy:)
