Ashlyn Saying "Da Da"

Well to much of my dismay Ashlyn say's Da Da all the time. The other morning I was getting ready and Ashlyn kept saying Da Da over and over, first she kept looking at Zelma and yelling it. Zelma looks non to enthused. . .just look at that face of hers. Poor Zelma, life will never be the same as it was before Ashlyn. Well I will continue to work on Ma Ma but I think it is going to be a while.

6 Months Old

Our sweet little girl has turned a half year old!

Everything her little eyes gaze on is interesting in her world. The most amazing part is watching her grow day by day, she doesnt know good or bad. Everyone in Ashlyn's world is good, her precious little heart hasnt been tainted by the world. Ashlyn truly is a gift from god in every sense of the word. She has completed our family, and made our marraige so much stronger. Strange to say when all you have ever heard is children dont solve problems they compound them. She truly has made us learn to work as one and gives you a whole new appreciation for one another. I look back at my life 6 months ago and can't imagine life without her nor would we want to. She is the apple of her mommy & daddy's eye. We love you and cant wait to see what the next 6 months hold in store for us.

Cutie Pie

Ashlyn got her 6 month pictures taken yesterday at Kdesign. Hard to believe my little girl is 6 months already. I looked back at her newborn pictures the other day and I can't get over how much she has changed. Doesn't even look like the same baby. Here is one of the outfits she wore-minus the hat. . .but the hat sure is cute.
After pictures we met Tess, Lori, and Grandma Jane for a drink and appetizer at Chili's so they could see Ashlyn! Then we met Ryan's parents and Brooke and Lainie at Outback for dinner. The girls were so good at dinner considering we waited over an hour to be seated.
Ryan was happy that he FINALLY got to eat at his favorite place.

Will my big sister ever like me?!?!?

This picture says it all. Ashlyn just thinks Zelma is so cool, she laughs at her, when she is on the floor she kicks and talks to her but Zelma won't have anything to do with her. She won't even look at her. . .so sad, we really thought by now the jealousy would have worn off. If we put Ashlyn up to Zelma's face, she will sniff her and then snub her. What Zelma doesn't know is Ashlyn is almost ready to crawl and then there will be no escaping her:)

Grandpa "Bob the Builder"

Grandpa Bob made Ashlyn this beautiful bookcase! It matches her furniture perfect and let me tell you how desperately we needed this for her room. I had no idea how much room EVERYTHING was going to take up, thank god we have a toy room to start filling up.

Samantha's Baby Shower

Sunday Megan and I hosted Samantha's baby shower at my Moms house. Samantha got a lot of great gifts for her little girl. We had such a fun time! With 3 pregnant women at the shower we had to be sure and have PLENTY of Janet's Cake:)

Look how cute the 3 Preggers are:) Sam is due March 5th-Girl, Rachel is due March 23rd-boy, Courtney is due May 10th-boy. Ashlyn is going to have a lot of new friends to boss around!

Ashlyn was so exhausted. . .its hard being the center of attention. After I put her down on the couch we thought it would be funny to put the remote in her hand. Too funny! Looks like her Daddy in this picture

I can sit up like a big girl!

Well our little girl gets more grown up everyday! I can't believe how much she has changed these past couple of weeks. She sits up all by herself now, and she really thinks she is hot stuff. Especially at bath time. . .she loves to play with all her toys and splash around. We both think she is going to be a swimmer. . .HINT: Grandma and Granpa Aupperle need to invest in that pool this summer!

Happy 50th Dad!

We celebrated my Dad's 50th Birthday last night at Alexander's. He was such a great sport, wearing his flashing pen and necklace. We had a great time!

My Cousin Taylor looks so much like Ashlyn when she was a baby. We tried to find a picture of Taylor when she was 5 months but I think she is about 7 or 8 months in this one. Hard to believe Taylor is almost 19 now, I remember babysitting her as a baby.

Mommy your so funny. . .

Ashlyn really gets a kick out of playing peek-a-boo. We really get a kick out of watching her and wonder what and the world she is thinking inside that big mind of hers. Yes, I'm sure its something along the lines of, "My Mommy is so Crazy."
