Visit with the Cousins

Are they not the cutest:) The girls thought it would be fun to both sleep in Ashlyn's bed and have a little slumber party-mommy and daddy didn't think that was probably going to work b/c both girls are super restless sleepers so we just let them lay in bed together for a bit and read books to one another. They are so funny to watch and listen to!!

The new little cousins are growing up way to fast!! I remember many of pictures of the girls laying side by side like this and now look at how big they are. Makes me sad to think Brody is almost 6 months old already.

YUMMY cereal

Ashlyn (little mommy) loves to feed her brother-she makes a mess but thats ok-she loves him so much and loves to be my little helper. BUSTED! The other morning I was feeding Brody and had to quick go do something-came back and he was trying to grab the bowl!! LOVE THIS PICTURE:)

Kane's 2nd Birthday

Happy 2nd Birthday to my sweet nephew Kane!!He got a lot of great gifts-I think this and his bulldozer were his fav's! Rachel made these AWESOME cupcakes-I don't even want to know how many hours she spent making them:)

5 Month Update

Well my bubby boy is 5 months old and he seemed about as excited about it as I was:) I have a feeling its only going to get harder to try and take his picture each month-he is rolling all over the place and trying to sit up. He continues to be such a great baby and starting to develop a little personality. I noticed the past couple of weeks if he is sitting in his bumbo seat or bouncy seat and I walk out of the room he starts to whine/cry. I have to admit-I love it. I hate to hear him cry and immediately pick him up or take him from Ryan if he is fussing. He is my last baby and if I want to spoil him I have that right:)

A Night Away

For Christmas I got Ryan Bulls tickets-had no idea it would be the weekend they would be celebrating St. Patty's Day and it was also the 20th Anniversary of the Bulls 1st NBA Title!! Matt & Rachel decided to join us for a little weekend away. Kane and Brody stayed with Emaw and Paw Paw Aupperle and Ashlyn stayed with my good friends Megan and Josh. This was the 1st time we left Brody and I had to think back to when the last time we left for an overnight stay-it was clear back in July!! So we were definately ready for a night away. Love my kids to pieces but its good for mommy and daddy to have a night off too. My mom said Brody was good as gold and she reaffirmed what I already knew that we have seriously been blessed with the best baby:) Ashlyn LOVED her overnight stay with Megan and Josh and is still talking about her painted toes and fingers and about her room at Megans house. She is so funny!!

Not a lot of excitement going on in the Welborn House-had our bouts with the flu and Brody had RSV last week but we are all healthy and happy again and sooo anxious for some warmer weather. Feels like we have been cooped up in the house forever. Ryan and I are looking forward to a little getaway this weekend-we are heading to Chicago with Matt and Rachel for a Bulls game and a little relaxation. Emaw and Paw Paw Aupperle are watching Kane and Brody and Megan and Josh wanted to keep Ashlyn overnight-she is super excited and has been packing her toys all week:) She talked to Megan last night and told her she wanted Chix nuggets for dinner but no broccoli.

Tumbling

Ashlyn started tumbling a few weeks ago and she LOVES it-her teacher is John (who is also owner) and he is amazing with the kids. He is sooo unbelievable patient with them and they respond to him so well. Ashlyn loves to jump on the trampoline, do her back flips off the mats, and somersaults. Ryan and Brody come with and Brody just loves to watch and laugh at the kids-its sooo stinken cute. Something fun to get us out of the house during this VERY LONG WINTER!!
