Shoes!!!

Our daughter LOVES LOVES LOVES shoes!! This morning Ryan was in the shower and yelled for me to get a video of our daughter with my shoes on. I have a hard enough time walking in heels but she has got it down. This girl has SO MUCH PERSONALITY!!!

Pumpkin Carving

Mommy & Daddy having a carving contest!! I will try and get pictures tomorrow with them lit up but I think Daddy's won!! Ashlyn was really not into the pumpkin carving, I was a little shocked that she didn't want to dig the guts out or she didn't even put seeds in her mouth. Zelma on the other hand was eating everything, oh well it was less mess we had to clean up. There is always next year!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Well I think it is now safe to say that Ashlyn looks alot like her mommy!! Check out the hair, now I know where Ashlyn gets the point from. Her hair constantly falls to a point on her forhead and so did mine. So cute!!

Last weekend we attended Matt & Rachel's housewarming party. Ashlyn had a lot of fun with her friend Sydney. Kane was feeling a little under the weather so he didn't get to join in on the fun. Ashlyn thought it was super fun to push Sydney in Kane's walker, I truly hope the girls grow up to be good friends.

Pumpkin Picking

We had all intentions of taking Ashlyn to Tanners Orchard this year but everytime we had planned a day to go the weather was frigid or it was raining. So both of us were off on Columbus Day but the weather wasn't the greatest so we just took Ashlyn pumpkin picking at a local Church in Pekin that brought Pumpkins in. I couldn't believe how excited she was to pick and carry her pumpkins around. Of course she insisted on putting them in her mouth and even took a bite out of one of them. Can't wait for the stage of putting EVERYTHING in her mouth to be OVER! Oh and you will note everytime I would take her picture she would turn away from the camera, she is such a little stinker these days.

Trying to change the Redskins Luck!

The Redskins aren't having the best season so far this year. Last Sunday Ashlyn and Ryan decided they would dress in Redskins clothes and put on the pig nose and see if it might bring them some luck! NOT SO MUCH-Maybe if we start cheering for a different team altogether it might bring them so wins:)

Ashlyn's 1st sleepover

Last night our neighbor girls, Emily and Katie, came over for a sleepover with Ashlyn. They had fun playing dress up, hide-n-go-seek, wrestling, and the 4 of us played Life. . .Ryan was bragging how he was going to win from the beginning-nothing unusual-but guess who was the winner-ME:) We had such a fun night and Ashlyn LOVES them to pieces.

Reading Books

So in the past month or so Ashlyn has really gotten into reading her books. . .its so cute to watch her and try and understand what it is she is really saying :) Usually she will sit down next to one of us, bring a book, open it and then start "reading." Saturday morning she was in her room just gabbing away so I peeked my head in and she was sitting on her floor like she was reading them outloud. Amazing to watch her grow, change and learn each and every day!

Daddy's Girl

Seems like I never get pictures with Ashlyn and Daddy. . .not sure why cause she LOVES hanging out with him and would much rather play with him than me. Yes she is a DADDY's girl, I hate to admit it because he reminds me all the time.

14 Months

Not a whole lot of new things to report for our 14 month old-her stats are 23.4lbs and 31 inches and size 5 shoe, completely skipped size 4, pants 18month and tops 24. Ashlyn now has all 4 of her 12 month molars to make 12 pearly whites. Ashlyn continues to be on the GO NON STOP, since the day she has been born I remember how alert and how she would just lay there and study everything and everyone. Well that has continued and she doesn't miss a thing, everything we do she is right behind us to either see what we did or pull out what we put away. Her personality is a good mixture of the both of us, she is VERY independent, strong willed, vocal, loving, mischievous, determined, adorable little girl who we adore so much. Everyday she amazes us with something new she has learned how to do or say.

FINALLY HAVE MY CAMERA BACK!!!

So I know it has been forever since I have posted pictures or videos. Feel like I have missed so much since my camera was sent off for repairs for 1 month. It did force me to pull out the video camera a few times but usually by the time I think about it Ashlyn is off and doing something else. Tonight Daddy was out of town on business so I decided to take Ashlyn out to the garage so she could run around and play with her 4-wheeler. I HATE IT that summer is over and WINTER is right around the corner. Anyhow, Ashlyn has finally figured out that she can push the button on her 4-wheeler all by herself. So cute, before she would push it but as soon as it would go she would take her finger off. Now we can't get her to take her finger off once she goes. I think next time I need to back both cars out of the garage!! Oh and note the rain boots, she is definately my kid, she LOVES EVERYTHING ABOUT SHOES, putting them on, carrying them around the house, putting them in my closet, and wearing her favorite rain boots.
