4 Months Old

Today was Ashlyn's 4 month check-up. She did so much better with her shots. She started to cry but as soon as Ryan picked her up she stopped and was fine the rest of the day.
Her 4 month stats:
15lbs 1oz-75%
26 inches-97%
42.5 cm-75%

Dr. Hunter said she is really developing well and said her motor skills are EXCELLENT! I can't believe my baby is already 4 months old. I can't imagine our lives without her nor do I remember what life was like before her.
Her favorite things; bumbo chair, mommy & daddy (she laughs more at daddy), her paci, mommy's milk, her feet (as you can see in the picture below), swing, toys, anything she can put in her mouth and slobber on:-)

All my friends

I should have taken a video of this instead of a picture! It was so cute watching her with all her friends and listening to her talk to them was even funnier. She has quite the personality.

My cute new hat!

It's still a little big but she still looks like a cutie.

A Bout with the Flu!!

Well it all started last Tuesday, I had to go pick Ashlyn up from the sitters b/c Cohlton was puking and Sami was worried he had the flu. Wednesday morning Sami called and said Cohlton was better but now she had it. So I called my back up sitter to see if she could watch Ashlyn b/c I had a mandatory meeting that day and Ryan is busy with inventory. Thank god we have Margaret!! Thursday she was back to the sitter, Sami, Cohlton and Ashlyn are all back to normal and Sami's house had been completely disinfected so we thought we are good.

Then comes Thursday night!! I got home from work and Ryan complained that he wasn't feeling to good, immediately I think oh god its the FLU. Sure enough he had it. So we sent him off to bed and tried to stay far away but a few hours later I was running to the bathroom too. Thank God Ashlyn was already in bed for the night by the time I got sick. By morning Ryan was at least able to get out of bed to get her and bring her to me so I could feed her, which sucked (no pun intended) any remaining energy out of me. By noon he was feeling pretty good so he was taking care of Ashlyn and I was upstairs trying to drink as many fluids as I could. Then came time we should both try and eat a little something but NOTHING sounds good so thought we better go with ole faithful, Chicken Noodle Soup and Saltines. . .go figure we have no Chix Noodle. I know neither of us are well enough to leave the house so I call over to Kim's across the street and she had some so I told her to leave it on the porch b/c I don't want anyone to be in contact with what we have. After keeping the soup down we were on the road to recovery and preparing for Ashlyn to get sick at any moment. The weekend came and went and Ashlyn never got it, THANK GOD!

Love this picture!

My sitter sends me at least one picture every day of Ashlyn, sometimes I get videos. It really helps me get through my day b/c I miss her like crazy. This is one of my favorites, look how much she has changed when you compare it to her newborn picture. Not sure how we produced such a beautiful little girl:-)

New Discoveries!

Ashlyn has this new fascination with pulling her paci out of her mouth, she stares at it, throws it then gets mad when she can't figure out how to get it back in her mouth. Its so funny to watch her, she is such a studier, she has been this way since the day she was born.

Ashlyn is really into her feet these days. Makes it difficult when I'm trying to change her diaper b/c she gets so mad when I'm holding her legs down. She tries really hard to get them in her mouth but I think her belly hinders her from doing that:)

Over Stimulated!

Ashlyn and I did some shopping yesterday since I was off for Veterans Day. We have been trying to figure out if we should get her a walker, exersaucer, or an activity jumper. She loves to stand and be in motion so I thought she would like the activity jumper the best. SHE LOVES IT! If you click on the picture and enlarge it you can see the excitement in her eyes. She can touch the floor on her tippy toes and reach all the toys if we put a blanket behind her back, I see hours of entertainment in our future:)

She did it!

Well we knew it wouldn't be long before Ashlyn rolled over. I was in the middle of fixing dinner and Ryan decided to put her on her tummy to see if she would do it. Before I had a chance to get the video camera out she had rolled over. I quick got the video camera and we tried cheering her on to do it again but once was all for tonight. So stay tuned for a video.

Ashlyn & Lainie

Jason, Brooke and Lainie came for a visit over the weekend. We had so much fun! Ashlyn enjoyed hanging out with her little cousin. We can't wait to watch them grow up together.

I tried to get a good picture of them laying next to each other. Ashlyn didn't seem to mind her cousin bopping her upside the head, we will see how long that lasts.

Gabber Box!!

I finally captured Ashlyn blabbering. . .its the cutest thing! Last week at the sitters Sami sent me a couple videos of Ashlyn gabbing and Ryan swore last night she was trying to say dada. Of course this was before I got home from work so I'm not buying it. Tonight after her bath she was a blabber box. . .hum I wonder who she gets that from. My mom said I was talking complete sentences by the time I was one.

1st Halloween-Trick-or-Treat

Ashlyn's Great Grandma Righter bought her this outfit, so cute! Thank You!
I can't remember a Halloween when it wasn't raining, windy or freezing outside. Ashlyn really enjoyed the evening, we sat outside and passed out candy to all our little trick-or-treaters. Ashlyn looked so cute in her Princess costume that her Aunt Rachel made her. Thanks Aunt Rach~next year you can make your little guy something.

It's hard to get a picture of Zelma with her tongue in her mouth.
