Brody's 1 year update

Today my sweet baby boy is ONE and I couldn't feel more blessed to have two beautiful, happy, healthy kids.  Even though Brody is a little guy-only weighing in at 19lbs at his 1 year check-up he is a great little eater.  Dr. Hunter isn't concerned with his below avg. weight but I am.  We are giving him supplements with his milk 3 times a day for the next month to see if we can get his weight up and if not then we will do some further investigating.  We have transitioned him to whole milk now and he will only take it if we warm it a little.  Brody has 6 sharp teeth and 2 more trying to pop thru.  He has been on table food for a while b/c he only wanted to feed himself-didn't like anyone spoon feeding him.  We have found the fruit/veggie squeeze pouches are a huge hit, he also loves pancakes, bananas, puffs, brocolli, mac n cheese, yogurt, and cake ( I think he ate 2 pds of it at his party).  Brody is 29 1/4 inches and gets around really well.  He isn't walking yet but is very close.  He walks around everything and will walk back and forth to us if we are on the floor with him so I would say anyday now.  He has really started to babble this past month and says DaDa a lot more than he says Mama but thats ok he is a Mama's boy and still loves our snuggle time everynight before bed.  Brody has been such an easy baby-he is very laid back and has no problem keeping himself entertained.  He adores his big sis and sometimes we question WHY?  Like I said he enjoys being in the toy room or in his room playing with his toys and sissy usually has to interupt by wanting to wrestle or take his toys.  Most of the time he just takes it but as he gets older he is now starting to squeal or scream at her when she makes him mad.  He loves for her to read, sing songs, play patty cake, and so big with him and those are the moments you just sit back and cherish:)  He loves to waive bye bye in the mornings and give BIG open mouth kisses.  Brody continues to be a great sleeper-usually goes down by 8:30 and wakes around 6:30 and still takes 2 naps-we went thru a couple of sleepless nights a few weeks ago and discovered the boy HATES to wear footed/flannel PJ's he must get overheated.  We solved that problem quickly:) 
Brody, you have brought so much joy to our hearts over this past year and we can't wait to watch you and your big sissy grow up together (just wish it didn't have to happen so quickly)!!  We love to watch you learn new things and hope to teach you and guide you down a successful path.  Happy 1st Birthday-We love you sooo much Mommy & Daddy
