9 Month Update

Ashlyn loves to help mommy in the kitchen! The problem is she can't just pull one or two things out she has to pull everything out and then its on to the next cabinet. Yes I know its time to put the latches on but for now we just keep a close eye on her and I don't mind her pulling out the tupperware it keeps her entertained and out of the dishwasher and away from the stove.
Our little punkin is 9 months old already! Its been a rough week for us, Monday afternoon Ashlyn started running a temp. I knew we had her scheduled 9 month appt Tuesday morning but I was really concerned it might be something serious (this is the 1st time she has ran a temp) so I called the dr. office and the nurse said just to start motrin and moniter her and if her temp spiked above 104 to go to the ER. So monday night we didn't get much sleep b/c I was constantly checking her temp. but the good news is we didn't have to go to the ER. We got to the dr. Tuesday and all the tests came back negative so the Dr. decided to send us to the Hospital for a chest X-ray to see if she had Pneumonia. At this point we are pretty anxious/nervous to find out why our little girl is sick. They would only allow one of us to take her in for the x-ray so I sat in the waiting room and Ry took her in, I had no idea they were going to place her in this seat restraint so she wouldn't move. She was screaming and I felt so helpless just sitting out there listening to her cry. So after that they sent us home to wait for the results. After waiting a few hours with no call I called the dr. office to see what was going on and the nurse said the x-ray wasn't conclusive that she had Pneumonia but the dr. said she thinks that we needed to be safe and start the antibiotic and then rerun the chest x-ray in 2 weeks. So we started the antibiotic Tuesday night and by morning her fever had broke. Ryan and I hated to say this but it was nice having our little snuggle bear back for a couple days, we miss that now that she is miss independant!! Looking back the past 9 months we are so blessed to have this be Ashlyn's first major sickness.

Finally Crawling on all 4's

I thought I would post a cute video of Ashlyn crawling on all 4's. For the longest time she did the army crawl and we wondered if she would ever crawl on all 4's.

Just missing that cup of coffee!

Well the mornings are getting more and more difficult to keep Ashlyn entertained and out of things she shouldn't be into while I'm getting ready. The other morning she was digging in one of the drawers and found some rollers. I can't believe she let me put them in her hair and she actually left them in. . .I crack up when I look at the picture reminds me of a Maxine Comic.

Busy Busy Girl

Onry little stinker really thought she was hot stuff climbing in the dishwasher.
Ashlyn is pulling herself up on EVERYTHING now, Ryan and I both think she will be walking at 10 months. Gosh I really hope not, makes me sad that my little baby is growing up so quick. Don't get me wrong I love watching her make new accomplishments everyday and I love when she trys so hard to do something and when she figures it out she get so EXCITED!! The picture of her on her lion in her cute new PJ's is so adorable, she is giving us that sweet little innocent look that we love so much.

Helping Mommy work

This picture is so sweet! The other night I still needed to finish some work stuff and Ashlyn wouldn't allow me to put her down, she is really becoming attached to mommy and daddy once we get home from work. Which makes me happy and sad all at the same time. I told Ryan I wish I could be cloned, one of me could stay home full-time and the other work full-time.
Make sure and click on the pic so you see the paci hanging out of her mouth!

YUMM-O~

Thank you Grandma A for the delicious Cookies you put in my easter Basket:) Mommy and Daddy think they make a really big mess but I don't care I LOVE THEM!
Thanks Mom, I think I will let her enjoy eating these at your house next weekend.

Easter 2009

The girls look adorable in their dresses. It was next to impossible to get both of them to look at the camera and smile. We tried!
I think Ashlyn looks better in the bunny ears than daddy does!
Ashlyn enjoyed the easter egg hunt, almost as much as the adults did! She was so excited she lost a shoe along the way. Next year will be so exciting, Ashlyn, Kane and "baby Bill" will all be able to hunt.

Kane is 3 1/2 weeks old now and he is just the cutest little guy. He looked like a little man in his easter outfit! I could snuggle him for hours.

New Favorite Toy

Ashlyn is finally starting to enjoy some of her Christmas presents. She really loves her Lion, she bounces up and down to the music and looks like she is riding a horse. She is really fun these days!!

Little Monkey

Papa Bob, Ashlyn wanted to let you know that the book case is sturdy:) I left the room for maybe 2 minutes and heard a lot of rucus and came back to find her here. I guess I shouldn't complain, at least she is playing with her toys.

We're in trouble now!

Ashlyn has started pulling herself up more and more this week. Tonight she was playing in her crib while I was folding some laundry (exciting Friday night huh!) and when I came back she had pulled herself up. I called Ryan upstairs and said its time to lower the bed. She was trying so hard to pull up on the stool but couldn't quite get it since it moves so I had to help her. Gosh I don't know if I'm ready for this, we are just getting used to the crawling and before long she is going to be walking:(

8 Months Old

I was trying to get Ashlyn to do SO BIG for the picture and this is what I got.

Our little girl with lots of personality has turned 8 months old today! WOW are things different around our house. . .Ashlyn is on the move and into everything. She still isn't up on all 4's crawling but that doesn't stop her from getting where she wants to go via army crawl. This week she started pulling herself up on things. Gosh we are so not ready for her to walk, please tell me that is MONTHS away!

Mommy has been working very hard on teaching her to say MaMa, every once in a while she will say it but her favorite word continues to be Da Da and a bunch of other words we don't understand. Her 2 bottom teeth have finally poked through, so cute when she gives us that cheezy grin. I don't have the official weight but if I go by my scale she is 19.6lbs and a little over 27 inches. Other than that we are so anxious for warm weather so we can go on walks and play outside!! So depressing to wake up this morning with 4 inches of snow on the ground.

Sharing my Mum Mum's

Well I think Ashlyn has figured out that if she bribes her big sister with a little food she will like her:) Z just sits next to Ashlyn waiting for her to drop something or for Ashlyn to feed her. Its amazing how gentle Z is, with us she about takes our hand off if we go to give her a treat. SO SWEET!
